Jiyu Tian

Jiyu Tian is a postdoctoral researcher who joined the group on May 2023, working on the NextGenna project. He works on the scale-up of both cathode and anode materials for sodium-ion batteries, with the aim of the development of pouch cells. He focuses on the thermal and failure analysis of pouch cells and systematic solutions for better cell performance.
Jiyu worked as a senior engineer at Huawei Tech Co. Ltd., Shenzhen for 1 year and four months. He specializes in the field of silicon anode for lithium-ion batteries, where the focus lies on advancing the development of silicon anode technology.
Jiyu holds a Ph.D. degree obtained from the University of St Andrews. During his doctoral studies, the research primarily revolved around organic-inorganic hybrid halide perovskite materials.
