Sarah Bogan

PhD Student 2024 – Present

Sarah started her higher education at Northwestern University in Illinois, United States, where she did her undergraduate research on catalysis for electrochemical ammonia synthesis. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in material science and engineering in 2023. Sarah went on to continue her education at Imperial College London, where she graduated with a master’s degree in materials science in September of 2024. Her master’s thesis centered on the characterization of materials for carbon dioxide capture and storage. In October of 2024, she started her PhD here at the University of St Andrews, where her research focuses on novel materials for solid electrolytes in lithium-ion batteries.
