Ioanna Pateli

Research Fellow, 2021 – present,

 

Dr Ioanna Maria (or Marianna) Pateli is from Greece. Ioanna obtained her bachelor’s (5 years studies-equivalent to UK Master’s degree) in 2016 from the school of mining and metallurgical engineering of the National and Technical University of Athens with distinction, with expertise on materials science and metallurgy.

Between 2017 – 2020, Ioanna was part of the SOCRATES ETN project (Marie Curie Horizon 2020) and in 2020 was awarded her PhD with title “Metal oxides processing using deep eutectic solvents” from the University of Leicester.

Between March of 2020 and August of 2021, Ioanna worked as project scientist for 1 year and later as research associate for 6 months in the Hardwick group at the Stephenson Institute for Renewable Energy of the University of Liverpool, with focus on Li S batteries, solid state batteries and in situ / ex situ characterization of interfaces using Raman spectroscopy.

Ioanna joined the JTSI Group in August 2021 as research associate and is currently working on the characterization of interfaces using SEM and Raman spectroscopy on Zinc air batteries.
