Gavin Irvine

PhD Student, 2016 – Present

Gavin received his bachelors of science in Chemistry from Emory & Henry College (2011). He then went on to receive a masters of engineering in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame (2013). Gavin’s research focuses on combined in situ scattering techniques for the analysis of charge carrying species as well as diffusion pathways in hydride, nitride-hydride, and other N-H alkaline earth metal species. These materials have come under interest for their potential application in mild-condition ammonia synthesis.
