PhD Student, 2016 – Present
Gavin received his bachelors of science in Chemistry from Emory & Henry College (2011). He then went on to receive a masters of engineering in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame (2013). His current research focuses on solid state ion conductors with emphasis on hydride (H-) conductors of the alkali and alkaline earth metal variety. These materials have potential applications from isotope separation to fuel cells.
His research is funded through the ISIS Facility Development Studentship.
