Duncan Nowicki

Research Fellow, 2024-Present

Dr. Duncan Nowicki obtained his PhD in late 2019 from the University of Aberdeen under the supervision of Professor Iain Gibson and Professor Jan Skakle, after graduating from the University of Strathclyde with a master’s degree in chemical engineering. His thesis assessed the potential of the calcium phosphate hydroxyapatite for carbon capture and CO2 utilisation applications. He initially joined the JTSI Group in August 2020, where he examined the integration of solid oxide electrolysers with downstream fuel synthesis processes. After returning in March 2024, his research now focusses mainly on the fabrication and testing of SOFCs.
