Postdoctoral researcher, 2009 – present
Cairong Jiang joined JTSI Group as a research fellow from January 2009 and works in Direct Carbon Fuel Cells. Dr Jiang is from China and had worked in Prof. H.-I. Yoo’s group at Seoul National University in South Korea for one year after receiving the Ph. D degree from University of Science and Technology of China.
Dr Jiang’s current research project is to develop direct carbon fuel cells (DCFCs). DCFC technology could achieve high efficiency of energy conversion from coal or renewable carbon. The task of the project is to develop direct coal fuel cell technology, optimise the electrode components and structures so as to develop the practical stack configurations can work various coal sources.
