Jair Triana Pequeno

PhD Student, 2021-present

Jair G. Triana P was born in Monterrey, N. L., Mexico. He achieved his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering in 2014 at Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon. Jair worked as a professional trainee in the Mexican National Oil Company for one year and previously worked in a variety of industries from wastewater treatment to treatment and management of hazardous residues.

In 2018, during his master’s degree studies, he came to Scotland as a visiting student in Prof. John Irvine’s material group at University of St. Andrews. In 2019, Jair achieved his master’s degree in science oriented to Sustainable Processes at Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon and in 2020, he worked in an artisan brewery as a process engineer.

Jair commenced his PhD studies under the supervision of Prof. John Irvine on May 2021. His research will be on exsolution to develop low temperature reduction electrodes for fuel cells applications.
